Using Webcasting to Advance Internal Communications
Organizations are increasingly looking to live streaming video as a way to supercharge their internal communications efforts. By using webcasts for conveying important employee messages, training staff, or celebrating important achievements in a personal, immediate, and inclusive way, businesses can save both time and money and generate excitement organization-wide.
A great example of using webcasting for internal communications was New York-Presbyterian Hospital’s 2012 kickoff. We were there on Jan. 24 to webcast their meeting to employees located in other locations. Designed to build staff enthusiasm, the event celebrated recent successes; in addition, legendary New York Yankee Reggie Jackson was on hand to poignantly speak about the exceptional care he’d received at the Hospital while undergoing shoulder surgery.
In the past month, we also live streamed internal events for organizations including Time Warner, The Associated Press, UNICEF, Church Pension Group, and NARS Cosmetics.
