What is a “Zeitbyte”?

As for why we chose this unusual moniker, we’re basically playing off of two terms:

zeitgeist: the general intellectual, moral, and cultural climate of an era*

zettabyte: one sextillion bytes (units of computer information)*

As a technology company that maintains one foot firmly in the artistic world of filmmaking, we felt that the blend of these two terms helps convey our innovation and capabilities. Plus, it has a kinda cool ring to it, no?

How do you pronounce “Zeitbyte”?

Our name can be broken down as follows:

Where is your office located?

We’re in the heart of Manhattan’s Flatiron District: 32 West 22nd Street, Sixth Floor. It’s easy to reach us via public transportation — we’re within blocks of the F, M, N, R, and 1 trains. Check out a map here.

How far do you travel for webcasting and video production jobs?

The majority of our work takes place in the Greater New York City area (NY/NJ/CT). That said, we often travel around the country to shoot or webcast large events. While we haven’t been working internationally, we are certainly open to discussing relevant opportunities abroad.

How much notice do you need for booking jobs?

Although we prefer two weeks’ advance notice when possible, particularly for large events or when cross-country travel is involved, we can generally be at an NYC location in as little as an hour or two.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Depending on the type of job, we accept major credit cards, checks, and automatic payments/transfers.

Do you have your own studio space?

No: Approximately 95% of our production work is done on location at a client’s site or event location. However, we do have studio partners in Manhattan we work with regularly.



I would like to webcast my events and can handle the production and encoding myself. Can you help with just the hosting/streaming?

Yes! Our self-provisioning webcast solution is designed for people and organizations just like you. We provide you with an embeddable media player to host on your website, then host the live streaming video through our content delivery network (CDN). Contact us for more details and pricing.

We have an in-house team handling most of our webcast, but we just need to hire someone to take care of one part of the process. Do we need to purchase an entire package of services?

No: Flexibility is one of our key strengths, and we pride ourselves on being able to take care of as little or as much of our clients’ online video projects as is desired.
